Privacy Policy

DJ Clem and RadioBooth, operated by Good Times Global Labs, LLC. Last updated 6 October 2026.

DJ Clem is a radio bot. It announces when a DJ goes live, plays the station in voice channels, and passes song requests to the DJ. RadioBooth hosts the stations: the browser booth DJs broadcast from, the dashboard owners run their station from, and tips for DJs. Neither reads your messages. Some things have to be stored to run a station or pay a DJ; this page says exactly what, and for how long.

Messages

DJ Clem does not have Discord's Message Content intent, so Discord never sends it the text of ordinary messages. It sees only what you hand it on purpose: the slash commands you run and what you type into them.

What each feature handles

FeatureWhat is handled, and what happens to it
/requestYour Discord ID, your display name in the server, the song you asked for (up to 100 characters), and the time. DJ Clem posts it in the channel and shows it to the live DJ. It is held in memory only, for the length of that show, then discarded. The public post stays in the channel like any other message.
/radio join, /radio leaveWhich voice channel you are in, so DJ Clem can join it. DJ Clem joins deafened: it plays the station and does not listen to or record anyone in the channel.
/nowplaying and live postsThe live DJ's display name and the current track title, posted to the channel the server chose for announcements.
Signing in to the DJ boothDiscord sign-in with two permissions: identify (your Discord ID, username, display name and avatar) and read your server membership (your roles and nickname in a station's server, to check you hold a DJ role there). The Discord token is kept on our server, encrypted, never in your browser, for at most 12 hours, so a restart doesn't sign you out. Your browser holds only a random ID. Signing out deletes the sign-in and asks Discord to revoke the token.
Signing in to the owner dashboardThe same sign-in plus one more permission, know what servers you're in: the list of your servers and what you may do in each, used to show the ones you manage. It is asked for only by the dashboard, held in memory for a minute at a time, and never stored.
Running a stationWhat the owner sets: the station's name, description, address, art, Discord server, DJ roles, live-post channel and switches, plus the Discord IDs of the owner and any co-owners, and an activity log of changes (who, what, when). Kept while the station exists. Deleting the station deletes all of it except the activity log, which our staff keep to look into problems.
Station librariesTracks owners upload for the station to play between shows, with the details they give (artist, title, licence, credit, source link) and who added each. Stored on our server until the owner deletes the track or the station; deleting either deletes the audio.
Tipping a DJOptional. You choose an amount, and can give a name (or stay anonymous) and a short message. Your card details are entered on Stripe's page, not ours, and never reach us. We keep a record of the tip: the amount, our fee, the station, the DJ, your name and message if you gave them, and whether it was paid, refunded or disputed. We keep it as a record of the payment, as payment and tax rules require. Tipping by PayPal.me takes you straight to PayPal; we learn nothing about it.
Receiving tips (DJs)Optional. To take card tips, a DJ sets up a Stripe account on Stripe's own pages, where Stripe collects their identity, bank and tax details. We keep only the Stripe account ID, whether it can receive tips yet, and the DJ's tips and totals. A DJ can also give a PayPal.me name, shown on the Listen page while they are live.
BroadcastingThe mix the DJ sends, including their microphone when they open it, is broadcast publicly to anyone listening to the station. That is the point of a radio station. The booth does not record broadcasts. Track titles the DJ plays are shown to listeners and in DJ Clem's posts.
The DJ's music filesTracks a DJ loads into their decks or crate stay on their own computer. They are played in the browser and never uploaded. Only the mixed audio leaves, as the broadcast. In Chrome and Edge the booth can remember the crate for next time: it keeps references to the files you picked, with your titles, in your own browser's storage. Nothing is copied or sent anywhere, and Clear forgets it.
Importing a Spotify playlistOptional, for DJs. The DJ signs in to Spotify in a pop-up; their browser reads the list of their own playlists and one playlist's track titles, and matches them against their own files. This happens entirely in the DJ's browser: the booth server never receives the Spotify sign-in or any Spotify data, and nothing is stored beyond the browser tab, which forgets it when closed.
Listening to the stationLike any web server, the stream server sees each listener's IP address and app or browser while they are connected, and counts how many people are listening. It keeps no access log, so who listened is not recorded. The Listen page has no sign-in, cookies or analytics; it remembers your volume in your own browser, and that never leaves it.

What we keep

Who can see it

Requests and live posts are public in the channel they are posted in. The request queue is visible to the DJ on air. When a tip is paid, DJ Clem thanks the tipper in the live-post channel by the name they gave (or "Someone"); the tip's message is shown only to the DJ, in their booth and their list of tips. A station's settings, library and activity log are visible to its owner and co-owners. Server logs, the database and tip records are visible to our own staff, who use them only to run the service, handle payments and look into problems.

Third parties

ServiceWhat reaches it
DiscordEverything DJ Clem does happens on Discord. Discord's own privacy policy governs the platform.
SpotifyOnly for DJs who connect it, directly from their browser: Spotify sees that DJ's sign-in and which of their playlists the booth reads.
Last.fm, ListenBrainzIf the station logs its plays there: the artist and title of each track it plays, and when. Nothing about listeners or DJs.
StripeCard tips. Tippers pay on Stripe's checkout page, and DJs who take card tips set up their Stripe account with Stripe directly; Stripe's privacy policy covers what they enter there. We send Stripe the tip's amount, the station's and DJ's names (as the checkout description) and an internal ID for the tip.
PayPalOnly if you follow a DJ's PayPal.me link: that payment happens entirely on PayPal, between you and the DJ.
Google FontsThese legal pages load their fonts from Google, which sees your IP address when you view them.
